A BCCI Level 2 Certified Coach and Coaching Beyond Advanced Level Certified High-Performance Cricket Coach, he possesses expertise that extends beyond traditional coaching. His qualifications include Sports Psychology, Mindset Training, Human Movement Sciences, Strength and Conditioning, Biomechanical Analysis, Injury Management, First Aid, CPR, AED Certification, Athlete Mentoring, and Player Pathway Management. This multidisciplinary approach enables him to develop comprehensive training programmes tailored to each athlete’s strengths, weaknesses, and long-term goals.
Born in Kolkata and now based in Bengaluru, his professional journey reflects a strong commitment to continuous learning and coaching excellence. Over the years, he has held leadership roles with several reputed cricket academies, educational institutions, and sports organizations, including BPICA, KCA, KIOC, SPCA, PNC, Gopalan Group, Presidency Group, Harvard House Cricket Academy, and Montford Cricket Club. These experiences have strengthened his expertise in talent identification, player development, and performance optimization.
One of the defining highlights of his career has been mentoring several First-Class, IPL, and junior-level cricketers. Players such as Abhimanyu Mithun, Jaydev Unadkat, Sheldon Jackson, Avi Barot, Deepak Chougule, CM Gautam, Akshay SL, V. Koushik, Gaurav Dhiman, Avinash KC, Dharmichand Mulewa, and Alokendu Lahiri are among those who have benefited from his guidance. His systematic coaching approach has also helped numerous junior state and representative players successfully advance through India’s competitive cricket pathway.
His coaching philosophy is built around four core pillars: technical skill development, strength and conditioning, mindset training, and performance analysis. By integrating sports science with cricket-specific coaching techniques, he helps athletes enhance performance while reducing injury risks. His experience as a Performance Analyst for junior state teams and international squads from Bangladesh and England has further strengthened his expertise in biomechanics and movement analysis, enabling him to provide evidence-based performance improvements. As a Qualified Match Referee, he also brings a comprehensive understanding of the game’s technical and regulatory aspects.
Today, he is focused on developing Under-16 and Under-19 cricketers through structured high-performance programmes designed to prepare them for representative and professional cricket. Alongside cricket coaching, he also provides strength, conditioning, and mental performance support for athletes from other sports. Through both in-person and online coaching, he continues to mentor aspiring athletes with personalized development plans and long-term career guidance.
