Rev. Bro. Anthony P., Principal of Little Flower High School, Abids, Hyderabad, is carrying forward the enduring legacy of the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, a global educational congregation known for its commitment to academic excellence, moral values, and holistic student development. Under his leadership, the institution continues to uphold its mission of nurturing young minds through a balanced approach that integrates knowledge, character, innovation, and service. His educational philosophy reflects the belief that schools must prepare students not only for academic success but also for responsible and meaningful lives.
Founded by Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort in the early eighteenth century, the Montfort Brothers have spent over three centuries promoting transformative education rooted in faith, compassion, and service. Their mission arrived in India in 1903 with the establishment of educational institutions that combined academic excellence with discipline, integrity, and social responsibility. Today, the congregation manages more than 180 institutions across the country, positively influencing generations of students through value-based education.
Little Flower High School was established in July 1953 under the leadership of Rev. Bro. John of God, with Rev. Bro. Britto serving as its first Principal. Over the past seven decades, the school has evolved into one of Hyderabad’s most respected educational institutions, consistently maintaining high academic standards while fostering ethical values and all-round development.
With extensive experience across educational institutions in Telangana, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kazipet, Rev. Bro. Anthony P. has consistently championed educational innovation and institutional excellence. His journey includes serving as a teacher at St. Joseph’s High School, Kothagudem, and later as the Founder Principal of Montfort School CBSE, Kazipet. Throughout his career, he has emphasized that education should develop critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and emotional intelligence alongside academic achievement.
Recognizing the rapidly changing educational landscape, he has successfully integrated modern learning methodologies while preserving the core values of the Montfortian tradition. He believes that although Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies are reshaping education, the relationship between teacher and student remains the foundation of meaningful learning. Under his guidance, Little Flower High School has embraced experiential learning, interdisciplinary education, digital literacy, communication skills, and responsible technology usage.
The school also offers students opportunities beyond academics through initiatives such as the Aerospace Lab and co-curricular platforms including the Music Club, Readers’ Forum, Eco Club, and Debate Club. These programmes encourage innovation, creativity, environmental awareness, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication, enabling students to develop into confident and socially responsible individuals.
Beyond academic excellence, Rev. Bro. Anthony P. places strong emphasis on character formation and community service. He believes education should nurture compassion, integrity, discipline, and respect for others, preparing students to become responsible citizens capable of contributing positively to society. His vision continues to strengthen Little Flower High School’s reputation as an institution where academic achievement is complemented by values, leadership, and lifelong learning.
As education continues to evolve, Rev. Bro. Anthony P. remains committed to preserving the rich Montfortian heritage while embracing innovation that equips students to meet future challenges with confidence. His leadership reflects a steadfast dedication to building an educational environment where excellence, ethics, and service continue to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
